Live Well in WNC is a smaller gynecology office that values healthy living. We focus on holistic and preventative care for women encompassing nutrition and supplements, fitness, and individualized hormone evaluation and therapy for females, males, and transgender individuals. With a combined experience of over 40 years, Dr. Grace Evins and Dr. Liz Garbarino continue to promote health and wellness for each patient with an emphasis on preventative medicine in order to optimize the ability to sustain an active lifestyle.
Medical Assistant Job Summary
The Medical Assistant position is responsible for assisting Dr. Grace Evins. Full-time position. We regret to offer no benefits at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting healthcare provider
- Taking vital signs and recording medical histories
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments, as well as collecting and processing lab specimens.
- Providing patients with information on clinical care, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Triaging and following up with patient concerns and their requests that occur in-between visits
- Assisting with patient referrals, orders, and follow-up
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers.
- Ability to multitask, manage appointments, and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment, taking vitals, and basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Empathy and sensitivity while dealing with sensitive and personal healthcare issues.
Required Experience and Education:
- Three years of experience as a medical assistant, including at least 1 year of experience in a gynecology or women's health setting.
- Completion of a medical assistant program or certification is preferred
- The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
